The faculty members, Dr. Mensah, Dr. Amoah, Dr. Kuttu and Dr. Asiedu were trained purposefully to educate State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) on Public Investment Appraisal back in Ghana and to enrich their knowledge in Investments Appraisal and Risk Analysis. They hope to apply the insights they’ve acquired to aid the school’s development and that of the country at large.

The training is part of the John Deutsch International Executive programmes, a branch of the Department of Economics at Queen’s University. The Training of Trainers session is designed to suit the unique needs of highly qualified professionals with previous training in Investment Appraisal. This enables alumni to further develop their skills and acquire the needed expertise to educate others in this field.
John Deutsch International is one of North America’s pre-eminent economics research and educational institutions. It has through its international activities developed a global network of linkages, which has been of tremendous help to the school. The Department of Finance is thus, fortunate to have its faculty trained by the institution.
