Some faculty and staff of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) on Friday, January 16, 2015, embarked on a one-day strategic retreat to Aburi to review and plan for the rest of the 2014/2015 academic year.
The Dean of UGBS, Prof. Joshua Yindenaba Abor, led discussions covering vital aspects of the School’s governance, beginning with a review of issues that arose during a previous retreat held before the commencement of this academic year.
Issues reviewed which gauged the degree of progress attained and the challenges to be surmounted fell under the broad topics of Undergraduate Programmmes, the state of the School’s facilities, the Reintroduction of the BA Administration Programme, and the School’s special programmes.
Participants, who included the School Administrator, Mrs. Stella Dovlo, the heads of the School’s six departments, heads of units, committee chairs and coordinators, made elaborate presentations on their various portfolios in line with the School’s strategic intent.
Outcomes of the strategic retreat embodied UGBS’s mission to attain excellence and world-class status in teaching and learning, research and infrastructure among others.
