UGBS Expanding Opportunities For Students With GNAM Membership

UGBS Expanding Opportunities For Students With GNAM Membership
Jul 10, 2017

In line with the University of Ghana Business School’s vision of becoming a world class business school, developing global leaders and training business students that can excel in any part of the globe, the school is gradually achieving this goal through collaboration with reputable global business education institutions, such as the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM).
The Global Network for Advanced Management is a network aimed at driving innovation and creating value by connecting leading global business schools, their resources, and their stakeholders. GNAM which is a partnership of 29 Leading Business Schools from different parts of the world aides in Multiplying connections, building global capabilities and exceeding boundaries through the shared beliefs: that the stakeholders of management education are increasingly global; that no one school can have a truly global reach; and that schools can gain tremendously from trade and collaboration.

With this partnership, UGBS now has the platform to introduce its student leaders to the Global world of doing business through GNAM’s approach of supporting business Schools in working cooperatively through global team work, independent global projects, case studies, competitions, surveys and certificate of Global excellence courses.  It also allows students, faculty and alumni interact with a large set of schools during the Global network week organized to bring students together to exchange ideas.

THIS PAST MARCH, 694 MBA students traveled to one of 18 campuses to study with peers and learn from international faculty in an initiative called Global Network Weeks. Students visiting Israel’s Technion in Haifa learned why the country is called the Start-Up Nation; those who arrived at the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business in Vancouver took a deep dive into green energy; and students who traveled to Jakarta learned from faculty at the University of Indonesia how digital entrepreneurship empowers women. Not a single Cedi, dollar, euro, peso, or shekel changed hands among participating schools to make this extraordinary educational experience possible. This is the power of networked management education and UGBS is a part of this amazing initiative.

The University of Ghana Business School invites all prospective students to this exciting journey of discovering the world at large through connecting with peers and faculty from different parts of the globe on the wings of GNAM.

Join UGBS on this exciting journey and Go Global with Excellence.
