The Executive Development Unit of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) and the College for Community and Organisational Development (CCOD), organised a five-day (Weekend only) professional training programme on Executive Mastery in Organisational Development and Appreciative Leadership (EMODAL). The programme was aimed at branding and retraining leaders to become appreciative and inspirational and affect others to follow a common goal. The programme was attended by consultants, educational leaders, top executives, entrepreneurs as well as potential leaders.
The Dean of UGBS, Professor Justice N. Bawole, graced the programme on the last day and he thanked the team for their hard work in putting the programme together. He stated, “Just like every child, if an organisation is born, you will need someone who can nurture that organisation along all of its dimensions, otherwise, it will get malnourished and eventually die. It is, therefore, important for participants to partake in this programme to enhance their capacity on the new Organisational Retreat model and Appreciative Leadership transformation.
The President of CCOD, Dr. Gabriel Gbiel Benarkuu, indicated that participants have been taught how to accurately identify their own emotions and tendencies and appreciate the skill of treating people according to their emotional reactions. He encouraged participants to understand team building and to get every person involved in a transformation agenda.
Professor Justice Bawole later presented the participants with certificates at the end of the event.
