The Dean of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), Professor Justice Bawole held a meeting with the Endowment Fund Board of Trustees and the UGBS Alumni Association Executives. The meeting, aimed at addressing the concerns of both parties present, took place at the African Regent Hotel on the 21st of November, 2019.
Rev. Daniel Asiedu, an alumnus of UGBS, delivered the opening prayer and the meeting was subsequently facilitated by the School Administrator, Mr. Emmanuel Poku-Sarkodee, who went on to welcome all members and introduced the Dean.
Professor Bawole shared his vision for the Endowment Fund, Alumni Association and Business School, mentioning a proposed Leisure and Learning center, recruitment of Alumni Ambassadors, and the Redesigning of Lecture Halls. He remarked on some newly added courses and added that the Association would be fishing out alumni and creating enthusiasm within the year groups.
The Dean further urged alumni to speak well of the School and help achieve the visions of UGBS. There was a networking session and an open forum over dinner where interactions and discussions were held.
During the question and answer session, members present sought clarification on a variety of issues and made recommendations to help the vision of the Endowment Fund and Alumni Association. The meeting concluded with a closing prayer by Rev. Ogbarmey Tetteh and vote of thanks by Mrs. Freda Addu Dzradosi.
