Miss Barbara Amuna graduated from the University of Ghana Business School, City Campus, in 2014. During her study she took up a job with a start-up company in the sale of used equipment and diesel engine driven generators where she doubled as the sales administrator and marketing person in 2012. The decision to take up a job while in school was because of her quest for practical experience for the job market which has always been the number one challenge for fresh graduates. She managed to find a balance between a studies and work.

In August 2014 a potential customer was moved by her resilience and dedication for her job and thus recommended her for a programme called Afrika Kommt! An Initiative of German Industry for Future Leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa and facilitated by GIZ. She is one of the 18 participants who were selected in Nairobi at an assessment centre from a total of 3,101 applicants. Currently, she is receiving practical training in Marketing at Robert Bosch Power Tools Division Headquarters in Leinfelden- Germany and also undergoing Management and Leadership training from GIZ. At the end of the programme she will become a focal point between the German enterprises and Africa thus strengthening the economic partnership between Germany and Africa.
