The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) Alumni Association, on November 29, 2014, held a dinner dance at the University of Ghana’s Great Hall to reconnect with alumni and help raise funds for the Association, School, and Endowment Fund.
Affirming his support, Chair of the event, Mr. Paa Kwesi Yankey, urged alumni to immerse themselves in alumni programmes for the mutual benefit of the School and the Association.
The President of the Association, Mr. Sam Asimeng, in his address, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support of the UGBS and alumni executives and stressed the essence of the alumni as the cornerstone of the Association without whom it would cease to exist.
Other sections of the event comprised a drive for funds to support the School’s Endowment Fund, the likes of which have contributed to academic development in various universities across the globe.
Also present at the event was special guest, Mr. Frank Adu, CEO of Cal Bank, and guests representing invited organizations from corporate Ghana. The Dean of UGBS, Prof. Joshua Yindenaba Abor and faculty were also present to grace the occasion.
