On the 1st April 2019, a distinguished Alumna of the University of Ghana Business School in the person of Mrs. Patricia Obo-Nai started chairing the affairs of Vodafone Ghana as the company’s Chief Executive Officer.
She is the first Ghanaian female to be appointed CEO of the giant telecom company, Vodafone Ghana. Prior to her appointment, she was the Director of Fixed Business and Customer Operations of Vodafone Ghana. She took over from Yolanda Cuba who was the then CEO. Mrs. Obo-Nai joined Vodafone Ghana as a Chief officer and a member of the Executive Committee in January 2011. She has previously worked with Millicom Ghana Limited, operators of Tigo, also a leading telecom company in Ghana, for 14 years. She has 22 years of experience in Information Technology (IT) and Telecommunications, and is a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers (GHIE).
Mrs. Obo-Nai holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Executive Education in Strategic Marketing from Insead, France and from the Kellogg School of Management, USA. She also holds an Executive MBA in Project Management from the University of Ghana Business School.
Mrs. Obo-Nai has received several awards for her numerous works. She received the Best Female Technologist Award at the annual Ghana Telecom Awards in June, 2012. Mrs. Obo-Nai was selected as one of the 100 most inspiring women leaders in Vodafone in the year 2018 and the winner of the Presec Odade3 Honorary Torch Award in 2019.
