UGBS’S Dr. George Acheampong Wins DKK 1,250,000 Grant for Research On Port Efficiency

Dr. George Acheampong, a Lecturer in the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship, University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), has won a grant of DKK 1,250,000 to research on Port Efficiency and Public Private Capacity (PEPP) in Ghana at the Tema Port.

The PEPP project is being conducted in partnership with Aarhus University, Denmark and Regional Maritime University, Ghana on three separate work packages building on each other. These are — Port Services Economy, Port Digitalisation and Human Capacity Development. Dr. Acheampong is leading the work package on Port Services Economy.

The work of Dr. Acheampong, in this regard, would contribute enormously to maritime development and governance in Ghana.
