The Mentoring and Student Support Unit (MSSU) of the University of Ghana Business School, UGBS, on 25th October 2019, hosted a mentoring session that had the executives of the Alumni Association of the Business School interacting with students. The event, themed “Time with Mentors and Alumni”, was held at the Executive Hall of the Business School. The event, targeted at final year students, was meant to give them a feel of life after school as well as inform them of the benefits gained in joining the Association.
The members of the Association advised students to take their academics seriously, take part in extra-curricular activities and further encouraged them to build more connections and networks in their stay at the University. They stressed that these connections would help the students advance their careers, especially in areas where their certificates cannot.
Executives in attendance included the 1st Vice President of the Association, Mrs. Freda Dzradosi; 2nd Vice President, Mr. Richard K. Afenu, Esq.; Secretary, Mr. Douglas Asiedu; 1999 Year Group Representative, Dr. Juliana Owusu-Ansah; Alumni Relations Coordinator, Mrs. Sophia Dapaah Mantey; UGBS Representative, Dr. Samuel Simpson, as well as the MSSU Coordinator, Dr. Lily Yarney.
