Dr. Raphael Odoom, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship at the University of Ghana Business School has been selected to be part of a 9-member Reconstituted National Committee to promote the local consumption of cocoa.
In a brief ceremony on the 28th of February 2023 at Cocoa House, Accra to inaugurate the Committee, the Chief Executive of Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD), Hon Joseph Boahen Aidoo urged the members to apply innovation in highlighting the healthy and nutritional benefits of cocoa and further ensure an increment in the consumption of cocoa products.
The committee is responsible for developing a strategy document for the generic promotion of cocoa. They are also responsible for coming out with activities and programmes to create a sustained national awareness of the benefits of cocoa consumption.
Dr. Raphael Odoom is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship at the University of Ghana Business School. His PhD focused on Branding in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Dr. Odoom consults for, and research into branding, integrated marketing communications, electronic business, digital & social media marketing and general consumer and firm-level studies.
