Dr. Cynthia Sallah, a Senior Manager with the audit firm KPMG, on the 15th of October 2019 visited the level 200 Fundamental Methods of Accounting class as a guest lecturer.
The first session of the lecture period on the topic “Accounting for Non-Current Assets” was delivered by Dr. Godfred Matthew Yaw Owusu, a senior lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS).
Later Dr. Sallah took time to share her professional and life experiences with the students. Among other things, she encouraged the students to take advantage of the numerous opportunities at their disposal as students of UGBS and strive to excel in all things. She also shared with the students some of the important things that employers look for when recruiting graduates, highlighting the key qualities that the current crop of students should develop in order to remain relevant and competitive for the job market.
She later spent some time to interact with the class, answering questions bothering on personal time management, the challenges of pursuing a professional accountancy qualification among others.
