The Department of Marketing & Entrepreneurship of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) organised an oral examination for its final year MPhil students on Thursdays 24th and 31st May, 2018 at the A2 Lecture Hall on the main campus of the School. The presentations offered students the opportunity to score marks while receiving input from faculty who are empanelled to review and provide guidance to the students. Chairpersons of the presentations were Dr. George Acheampong and Dr. Raphael Odoom respectively. Other panel members were Prof. Bedman Narteh, Dr. Mahama Braimah, Dr. Daniel M. Quaye, Dr. Prince Kodua, as well as Dr. Kwame Adom.
The students identified the various research gaps and outlined the research objectives underpinning their studies, as well as the contributions to theory and practice. They also made recommendations for future research to improve upon existing findings and literature.
Acting on behalf of the Head of the Department of Marketing & Entrepreneurship, Dr. Kwame Adom advised the students to exhibit confidence and mannerism in their presentations.
Some of the topics presented on include 'Corporate Image Investment and Customer Loyalty in the Ghanaian Banking Industry', 'Learning by Exporting: Evidence from Ghanaian Small and Medium-Scale Enterprises (SMEs)', 'Value Co-Creation and Customer Loyalty in Health Care Services: The Moderating Role of Cognitive Engagement' as well as 'Online Advertising and Consumer Response in the Ghanaian Automobile Industry: the Mediating Role of Word of Mouth', among others.
