The Department of Finance at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), on the 30th of June, and 4th of July, 2017, organised an oral presentation for its year two MPhil Finance students at the school’s main campus.
The MPhil students who were 50 in number, presented on diverse topics covering the fields of Banking, Finance and Risk Management. Topics presented include: Capital Adequacy of Banks in Ghana: Does Liquidity Transformation Matter; Overconfidence Bias of Investors: Investment Decisions on Ghana Stock Exchange; and Enterprise Risk Management and Firm Performance: Evidence from the Listed Firms.
The oral presentation focused on identifying gaps in research, and outlining objectives of the research to bridge the gaps identified. They further explained their research methodologies and the various formulae and tests used in generating their findings. The MPhil students further provided recommendations which will be beneficial for future research purposes and practice.
Faculty and supervisors of the students offered feedbacks, and commended the students for good work done.
