The Dean of the University of Ghana Business School, Professor Joshua Yindenaba Abor on Thursday, 18th May, 2017 met with Non-Academic Staff at the R.S Amegashie Auditorium. The meeting forms part of management’s initiative to build consensus in improving the management of the school.
The Management, represented by the Dean, School Administrator and various heads of departments advised the staff to be customer centric, warm and receptive to all stakeholders of the school.
Professor Abor in his address, commended the staff for their hard work, noting that their contribution has had a positive impact on the day-to-day administration of the school. The meeting also afforded Non-Academic Staff the opportunity to express personal opinions and suggestions beneficial to the management of the school.
During the deliberations, Professor Abor noted that the contributions of Non-Academic staff is enormous and highly valued since without their support the school will not be able to achieve its aims and objective. He added that “it is important to live together as a family; hence no one should be allowed to look down on the other”. The Dean urged the staff to continue with their good works and improve on areas they lack.
Present at the meeting were Dr. Mohammed Amidu, the Head of Department, Accounting, Dr. Justice Nyigmah Bawole, the Head of Department, Public Administration and Health Services Management, Dr. Kwasi Dartey-Baah, the Head of Department, Organisation and Human Resource Management and the School Administrator, Mrs. Stella Dovlo.
