The University of Ghana Business School Executive Development (UGBS-ED) organised a two-session workshop, from 9th to 11th March and 16th to 18th March 2021, on Creating and Administering Fixed Assets Register at the UGBS Graduate Building.
The workshop attracted Financial Controllers, Chief Finance Officers, Accountants, Auditors, Estate Officers and Managers, Stores Keepers, Procurement Officers and other fixed asset stakeholders. Participants were taken through a wide range of topics such as Accounting entries, De-recognition of NCA, Disposals and transfers of fixed assets, Difference between fixed assets schedule and fixed assets register, Administration of fixed assets register and Purpose of fixed asset register.
Participants were taken through practical sessions in order to grasp the concepts of the topics treated. In drawing the curtains to the sessions, some participants shared their experiences and admitted that their expectations were met. Participants were given certificates at the end of the workshops.
