The Annual handing over and awards dinner of the Business House Junior Common Room (BHJCR) dubbed royal ball came off on Sunday, 12th November, 2017.  The programme which was held on the main campus of UGBS saw students and some alumni of the school converge amidst live band music.
During the occasion, executives elect of the BHJCR were sworn in as old executives bowed out of their leadership positions. The Immediate outgone president, Vincent Kombat thanked all students and his fellow executives for their corporation and active participation during his tenure in office. Also, newly sworn in president, Maxmillian Osei-Wusu pledged his administration’s commitment towards ensuring the wellbeing of all students during his tenure as president.
Some students who distinguished themselves during the 2016/2017 academic year were awarded at the programme. The awardees were:
BHJCR Student Writer- Bill Eshun; BHJCR Student Entrepreneur of the Year - Amankona -Osei Justin; BHJCR Most Influential Student- Adjoa Abbiw; BHJCR Sports Personality of The Year - Yeboah Bright Emmanuel; BHJCR Most Executively Dressed (Male)- Alswell Asiedu; BHJCR Most Executively Dressed (Female)- Maxeline Konadu; BHJCR Most Popular Student of the Year- Kobby Davidson. Other categories included Best Friends of the Year- The Aunties (Lily, Agnes, Lydia); Student Activist of the Year – Lopa; Most Participating General Assembly Member- Siaw Anarfi; Overall Best Executive - Vincent D. Kombat; BHJCR Excellence Award - Bright Owusu; Student Lecturer of the Year- Dr. Agyapomaa Gyeke-Dako; Most Participating Non-General Assembly Member- Kwabena Akadom Asante; Overall Best Course Representative- Daniel Bortey; Alumni Personality of the Year- Papa Yaw Ohene-Konadu; Corporate Personality of the Year - Nadim Ghanem Junior; Most Hard Working General Assembly Member (38th Management Week Celeb.) - Elizabeth Koomson/ Solomon Adjokatcher. Also, The Most Hard Working Committee Head of The Year (38th Management Week Celeb.) went to Clariet Asiedu, Samuel Frimpon and Darko Nana Akua B. Grace. Finally, BHJCR Honorary Award was received by Ferdinand Adase.
