The Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship of the University of Ghana Business School, organised two seminars on 11th November 2019. The two sessions, which were part of the Distinguished Marketing Practitioner Seminar series, were to equip the students with practical knowledge in the corporate sector. They featured guest speakers who are well-versed in corporate affairs, in the persons of Mr. Jesse Amoh Agyepong, Managing Director, Afiba Consults and Mr. Rami Baitie, Director for Corporate Affairs and Institutional Advancement, GIMPA.

Entrepreneurship Excellence Week-Sales Fair Day

Under the frame of the Entrepreneurship Excellence Week, the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) hosted Sales Hub Ghana Limited for a sales fair on the 31st of October 2019 at the Business School.

Present at the fair were: Cowbell Ghana, MTN Ghana, Cake Boss, Saucy Side Foods, Wonder Wings, Maybelline, Maku’s Collection, Guinness Ghana, DNH Clothing and Goody’s Lovely Shito.

MESA Crowns Entrepreneurship Excellence Week with Student Hangout

The Marketing and Entrepreneurship Student Association (MESA) of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) ended the Entrepreneurship Excellence Week with a Student Hangout on Saturday, 2nd November 2019.

The event, which aimed to bring students together to relax and to boost team spirit, was the perfect way to end the busy week.

As part of the Entrepreneurship Excellence Week, some students of the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship, together with one of their lecturers, Dr. George Acheampong, embarked on an Industrial Tour to Abossey Okai, Accra on Thursday, 1st November 2019. Abossey Okai is Ghana’s foremost cluster for vehicle spare parts. It is also a major part of Ghana’s informal business community.

The Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship on September 18th, 2019 organised the second edition of the Distinguished Marketing Practitioner Seminar (DMPS). The theme for this edition was Africapitalisim and Social Responsibility in Africa. The speaker for this edition was Professor Kenneth Amaeshi, a Professor at The University of Edinburg Business School. Professor Kenneth Amaeshi is also the Chair of Business and Sustainable Development and the Director of the Sustainable Business Initiative. Professor Amaeshi joined the University of Edinburgh in 2010.
