UGBS Alumnus Of The Month – March 2021

Surv. William Offei Botchway is currently the hostel manager at TF Properties Limited, a subsidiary of the teacher’s fund. In 2012, he worked as a supervisor at the Ghana Cocoa Board, where he managed the board’s properties and undertook valuations as well. He has also worked as a facilities manager at Property Solution Models. In June 2005, Mr. Botchway worked as a student trainee at the Land Valuation Board and Land Commission in Accra undertaking fieldwork for property rating purposes, among others.

Surv. William Offei Botchway was awarded the Ghana Securities Industry Certificate by the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) in 2009. He earned an Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA) from the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) in 2014. He qualified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in 2017 and is a member of PMI International and PMI Ghana. He is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). In October 2012, he underwent training at the Judicial Training Institute (JTI) and acquired a certificate in Issue-based Negotiation.

Surv. Offei Botchway served on the Governing Council in 2015 and 2016 of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors. He has also served on the Visual Effect Society Divisional Committee from 2012 to date. The most remarkable achievement among his contributions includes the re-organisation and the revamping of the Young Surveyors Organisation (YSO) now Young Surveyors Network (YSN). Between 2013 and 2017, he was a member of the Volta Regional Lands Commission. He has also served on various prestigious committee’s which include, a member of the organising committee for ICECAAQS 2020 Conference from 2019 till date, a member of the committee set up for the establishment of the American Depositary Receipt (ADR) and Advisory Centre. He was a Secretary of the Review Drafting Committee that produced ADR Rules between 2017 and 2018 and a member of the Sponsorship Committee for the 2012 AfRES Conference in 2011 and 2012.
